As a quarterback of an NFL team, you are supposed to be untouchable and that is probably why Geno felt he could be disrespectful to IK and assumed nothing would happen.
Geno assumed wrong according to ESPN’s Ryan Clark who was on Mike and Mike this morning and told a much clearer account of what happened in the Jets locker room.
According to Clark, it wasn’t so much the money or the fact Geno didn’t come to IK’s camp, it was the fact Geno didn’t apologize about it and was being smug about not paying him back. This wasn’t according to Clark the first time Geno and IK argued about this, so it is seems to me Geno had no intentions of paying him back.
Geno allegedly put his finger in IK’s face and basically dared him to do something about the fact he wasn’t going to pay him and we know what happened next.
If Clark’s account is accurate, while I don’t condone IK’s actions, I certainly understand. You can watch Clark’s full account below courtesy of Sports Grid.
