Hawks wingman Mike Scott was arrested last month and could face up to 25 years in prison for two felony drug charges. The arrest took place on July 30 after Scott, who was accompanied by his younger brother, was stopped on interstate 85 in the town of Homer. Police then searched his vehicle and found 35.2 grams of marijuana and 10.9 grams of MDMA, a drug better known as Molly. The Molly charge comes with a potential 15-year sentence on top of the 10-year sentence tied to the marijuana possession, according to Georgia statutes.
Banks County has sent the drugs off to a lab for testing and Scott’s court date won’t be set until the testing is done which could take several months. Scott admitted on video that the drugs belonged to him and that he takes full responsibility. Scott was later released on a $8,100 bond.
