Don’t say anything.
If you are forced to talk to the media, don’t say much. Don’t give any in-depth interviews. Avoid cameras. Don’t go on radio, don’t tweet, don’t instagram and don’t speak unless it is necessary.
Emotions are running high no matter what side of this Redskins-RG3 debate you are on now. Don’t fall into the trap.
The one thing RG3 has to remember at this point is the main goal is to get out of DC in one piece and with his reputation in tact.
Be complimentary of Kirk Cousins, Colt McCoy and Jay Gruden. Be nice to all the anonymous teammates who are slamming him off the record.
Smile brightly, cheer excessively from the bench. The camera will always going to be on him. When Cousins makes a mistake, be the first one patting him on the back and shouting encouragement.
The media is out for blood, they are going to try to bait RG3 because it makes for a bigger story. Don’t take the bait.
Come to work, collect your check and hold the clipboard with pride. Become the black Matt Flynn. Get 100% healthy in mind and body. Then next year find a team that 100% wants you and prove people wrong.
That is my advice to RG3.
