Once the news broke that the Pittsburgh Steelers were interested in Mike Vick, some Steelers fans tweeted their frustrations. They didn’t want a man who had once plead guilty to illegal dog fighting on their team. Yet and still, their star quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, has been accused of rape by four different women, some of which he ‘paid off.’
I have been reading the craziest and most ignorant tweets today from people who seem to value a dog’s life more than a human’s.
"well did the women die?" – Steelers fans.

@Urunderarrest not true. I won't buy or wear anything associated with @MikeVick . Makes me nauseous just to look at him. @steelers .

#childabuse and #AnimalAbuse two things unforgivable. #novoice . That is the human comparison. @steelers

Vick admitted to his crime and did his time. He has been committed to playing football since he was released from jail and his past crimes shouldn’t be held against him now. How come Ben gets a pass with raping women but Vick’s dog-fighting crimes get to be held forever against him? It’s despicable how people see what they want to see when it comes to certain people. These Steelers fans should be ashamed that they are supporting Ben but trying to condemn Vick. If Vick does sign with the Steelers, I hope he has a phenomenal season to shut his critics up.
