First year head coach Tony Sanchez is a breathe of fresh air for the fledgeling UNLV football program and he’s using many of the same tactics that helped him take Bishop Gorman football from an above-average Las Vegas football team to national power.
Sanchez’s best skill is his ability to tap into what the youth of today want and how to make that benefit his football programs. UNLV has already announced 4 different uniform combinations for this upcoming season, they’ve never wore as much as an alternate uniform the past decade. He’s also building a brand new football facility on campus and is hoping to upgrade the stadium shortly. One of the first ways he’s decided to spruce up the stadium is to give the field turf a little bit of Las Vegas flare.
We are just 8 days away from kickoff! The new field is all set and ready to go. #TheNewEra

The visual is a bit funky on the eyes at first but these out of the box ideas are exactly what is needed to get a buzz around the UNLV football program.
