At this point, maybe all the new ladies that sign with the WWE should just scrub all of their social media accounts because another NXT Diva has had old tweets come back to haunt her. The NXT Diva in question is Canadian Nhooph Al-Areebi is 20 years old but the tweets in question stem from as far back as September 2011 when she was a mere 16 years old.
I am very conflicted on how to feel about this. On the one hand, she was 16 years old and we have no real context to any of these tweets. On the dominant hand, this is something she felt was perfectly acceptable to just spread into the world. These things are unacceptable whether it’s 2015, 2011, or 1990. The world can log onto a computer and search through all the dumb things you thought to post on social media. Maybe people should realize that everything they say or put on their social media is out there forever. The future employers are going to be able to go through your Twitter, Instagram and Facebook history to see if you’re hireable. Speaking of Instagram, here’s a post she made referencing her slave and needing a whip.
We saw what happened to Zahra Schreiber getting dropped from the WWE for her Nazi posts, so this is not a good look to have these pop up. The WWE is in a scrubbing kind of mood this year and they will be quick to erase you if you bring negative attention. While some may say that the WWE are being way too paranoid, I think it’s good business. They are really the only big game in wrestling and have their choice of talent from around the world. You slip up and they can easily throw a stone and hit a dozen others ready to jump right into your spot. Please, be smart with your social media and that goes for everyone young and old.
