Don’t look now, but the 2015 NFL regular season is nearly a quarter of the way through. Week 4 will officially kick off on Thursday when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens, though it will be a series of games on Sunday and Monday that have generated the most expensive ticket prices on the secondary market. Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos welcome the Minnesota Vikings in the top-priced game of the week Sunday and will be followed by matchups between the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants and Buffalo Bulls and Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. Below is the complete list of Week 4’s top-priced games, according to TiqIQ:
Minnesota Vikings at Denver Broncos | Avg. Price: $445.28 | Get-in: $184
Much has been made about the Broncos’ performance so far, but they’ve come away unscathed and taken three wins from the Ravens, Chiefs and Lions over the first three weeks of play. They’ll return to Sports Authority Field for the first time since Week 1 on Sunday to play the Ravens, and the average secondary market price for Broncos vs Vikings tickets is $445.28. The cheapest ticket is listed for $184. Expect the Broncos to roll over the 0-3 Ravens as Manning looks for the 196th win of his career.
Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks | Avg. Price: $341.45 | Get-in: $157
Hosting their second consecutive game at CenturyLink Field this Monday are the Seahawks, who welcome the Lions to Seattle for the first time since 2009. The extended absence has allowed ticket prices to reach big premiums on the secondary market. However, Monday’s game still serves as the Seahawks’ most affordable home game of the season, with Seahawks vs Lions tickets averaging $341.45 and get-in price starting at $157. Both teams have struggled to begin the season, and the Lions look to claim their first victory of the season in the formidable lair of the 12th Man.
Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers | Avg. Price: $289.82 | Get-in: $123
There are few teams that can contain Aaron Rodgers, and the 49ers will try their best when they host the Packers at Levi’s Stadium this Sunday. The average secondary market price for 49ers vs Packers tickets is $289.82 and the get-in price is $123. The game will be the 49ers’ most expensive remaining game at home this season and is one of just two games that are averaging above the $200 plateau (October 22 vs Seahawks – $268.24). The 49ers have dropped their last two games after defeating the Vikings during Week 1 and will undoubtedly face their toughest challenge yet when they take on the 3-0 Packers at home this weekend.
Oakland Raiders at Chicago Bears | Avg. Price: $269.02 | Get-in: $96
Just days after being shut out by the Seahawks, the Bears started getting the roster ready for next season. Chicago traded Jared Allen and Jon Bostic and released Brock Vereen. They also open as an underdog on the road to the Raiders. That hasn’t stopped prices from falling too much on the secondary market, though. Bears’ fans outside the local area can use Hipmunk.com for flight deals to Chicago, that go with Hipmunk’s selection of hotels near Soldier Field to be walking distance from the stadium during the stay.
New York Giants at Buffalo Bills | Avg. Price: $229.20 | Get-in: $131
The new-look Bills continue to turn heads through the season’s first three weeks, taking games against the Colts and Dolphins while keeping things interesting against the Patriots in between. They’ll host the Giants at Ralph Wilson Stadium this Sunday, where Bills vs Giants tickets average $229.20 and the get-in price is $131. It will be the Bills’ top-priced home game of the season and one of two games exceeding the $200 ticket average on the secondary market (December 27 vs Cowboys – $201.71).
