In what should be the first of many — La’el Collins will make his first career start for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
Executive vice president Stephen Jones made the announcement during a Friday radio appearance.
“I just want to go out there and be where my team needs me to be and go out and do my job,” Collins said, as reported by David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.
Collins — projected as an early first-round pick — went undrafted after the death of a former girlfriend.
Dallas signed the 22-year-old monster to a three-year deal in May after he was officially cleared.
