Well, the Detroit Lions are 0-3 and Head Coach Jim Caldwell doesn’t want you to count them out just yet, there are still 13 weeks left!
“We do have 13 games left,” Caldwell said, via The Detroit Free Press. “They’re not handing out any trophies after three games and you can’t be eliminated after three games. And I know there’s all the stats that are out there about who does what at 0-3. I don’t care about all that stuff. What I care about is trying to get better, and I thought we made a little headway.”
Last night’s game against the Broncos almost looked like a sure win for the Lions until Peyton Manning caught his second wind in the 2nd half and closed the game. The Lions aren’t the worse team, they do have the necessary pieces to be a legitimate threat in the NFC North, but they seem to lack execution, they’re only losing by 2 touchdowns, which is fixable.
The Lions have a tough schedule coming up, the Seahawks, Cardinals (who look unstoppable) and the Bears (which if going off the previous Sunday, seems like a favorable win). Can the Lions pull it together and take their division?
