J.J. Watt is a busy guy. When he isn’t getting love from fans on the field of Kelly Kapowsky off it, he’s also doing some great things in the community. J.J. Watt visited an 11-year old drive by shooting victim in the hospital to try and lift his spirits, at least for a few hours. The two played Nintendo Wii and Watt signed some autographs sharing some words of encouragement for the kid. Manuel Jimenez was at home sleeping Friday morning when the drive by shooting took place. The shooting took the life of Manny’s younger 6-year old brother Moises.
Manuel’s mom said that the visit from Watt helped her son push himself to want to recover faster. It’s amazing how the power of a celebrity is so great, that just showing up in a place to spend some time is held in such high regards. J.J. Watt is using his powers for great things.
