If it wasn’t the Redskins, maybe I would just say this is a coincidence, but because it is the Redskins it makes you wonder.
RG3 was all cleared to play in the 3rd preseason game and likely would have been the starter at least at the beginning of the season.
Then things took a quick 180. RG3 wasn’t cleared, Cousins started, was named the starter for the season and RG3 was demoted to either 2nd-3rd string depending on who you believe.
Now, the neurologist in the middle of all this has quit per the Washington Post.
Dr. Robert N. Kurtzke didn’t give a reason why he quit. One would hope it wasn’t because someone pressured him to not clear RG3 to clear a path for Kirk Cousins to start.
I hope that is not the case.
