Dusty Baker hasn’t graced the MLB managerial world in about 2 years. There are plenty of positions available but will he take it?
When the MLB season ended, out came the pink slips. Marlins manager Mike Redmond was fired back in May and their season is a result of how things went south. Once the Nationals’ season ended, Matt Williams was fired just a year after being named manager of the year. Now, a strong source is confirming that Dusty Baker may be interviewing for the position.
Citing a “rock-solid source,” Bruce Jenkins of the San Francisco Chronicle reported Baker was speaking with the Washington Nationals regarding their managerial vacancy after the team fired Matt Williams.
Not for nothing, but Baker’s post game analysis has been impeccable but to see him in a managerial position would be grand since he has an extensive resume.
