Remains to be seen if Montrel Meander will still go to trial. My guess is no. DA tried the more winnable case first and lost.

Regarding Meander trial, Austin says she will re-evaluate the trial and speak with Jane Doe before deciding whether to continue with trial.

Following this trial over the past week, it seemed that there were some things that weren’t adding up when it came to Jane Doe’s story. Some things she told to the police didn’t get said at the trial, and those kind of inconsistencies in her story probably ended up being the difference in a guilty verdict and an acquittal.
These types of cases are always tough to decipher, I just hope that both parties can move forward from this and get their lives back on track.
