Things may be about to heat up for the Browns and quarterback Johnny Manziel. The NFL has decided to contact the Avon Police Department as the first step of their investigation of Johnny Manziel and reports of a domestic violence involving his girlfriend.
TMZ spoke with Chief Bosley who shared some new information.
“We have been in contact with the NFL.” Chief Bosley also acknowledged that the talks were initiated by the NFL. “I wouldn’t want to give details about the communication because although this is not a criminal investigation, I wouldn’t want to compromise what they are doing.”
Manziel’s girlfriend Colleen Crowley told police that she was hit a “couple of time.” Although Crowley showed an injury on her arm, cops decided against arresting Manziel starting “not enough to pursue prosecution.”
Manziel isn’t facing any criminal charges but he could be disciplined by the NFL if this run-in is deemed a violation to their personal conduct policy.
