Through four weeks it still seems the San Francisco 49ers are still a work in progress.
Newly acquired wide out Torrey Smith is positive there are better times ahead and 49ers fans won’t have to suffer much longer.
Smith spoke on the 1-3 start and struggling team, per ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez.
“We’re a better team than what we’re showing right now. We’re better offensively than how we’re playing. To be honest, we work too hard to go out there on Sundays and play like that.”
“Tomsula doesn’t deserve this. The fans don’t deserve to watch the way we play.”
The 49ers offense have not found any consistency through the air with quarterback Colin Kaepernick behind center and a struggling offensive line to protect him. This has affected Anquan Boldin and Smith’s ability to do any playmaking, Smith spoke on his pouting.
“My body language was horrible at times. I should never let my frustrations show, especially to y’all. It’s not a good thing.”
The 1-3 49ers play the New York Giants Sunday at MetLife Stadium on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
