The Jaccpot CEO didn’t take his time returning from a hamstring injury to be ignored by Kirk Cousins.
Jackson — who Patriots Coach Bill Belichick described as a “big threat” last week — was invincible in the Redskins’ 27-10 loss at New England on Sunday.
He caught three passes for 15 yards on six targets and his longest reception was for nine yards. Afterwards, Jackson brushed off his struggles, reaching for the old “I can’t throw the ball to myself” excuse.
“With the opportunities I get, I think I’ll be able to do a good job with that,” Jackson said. “I can’t call the plays for me, I can’t throw the ball to myself, so when the coaches and the quarterback call my number, I’ll be there and doing what I need to do.”
Jackson didn’t hang around to speak with many reporters in the locker room after the game, but gave that soundbite to NBC 4’s Jason Pugh.
