The Jets are headed into Week 9 with a lot of question marks. They started the season off 4-1 and were expected to make some noise in the AFC East and possibly give the Patriots a run for their money, well looks can be deceiving. First the Patriots defeated the Jets 30-23 in their Week 7 matchup and then the Jets looked out of sorts in a 34-20 losing effort to the Oakland Raiders. Worst than just losing the game, the Jets potential loss 3 players for Sunday’s upcoming game against the Jaguars.
Starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a thumb injury that took him out the game. Fitz is listed as day-to-day but is expected to need surgery at some point. Wide receiver Brandon Marshall is dealing with an ankle and toe injury that may sideline him. Fitzpatrick’s replacement Geno Smith came in the came and made several nice plays but took an enormous amount of big hits causing him to have a bruised shoulder.

Head coach Todd Bowles gave reporters an update on Marshall.
“Marshall is dealing with a sore big toe and a sore ankle and it’s too early to tell if he will be able to play Sunday.”
We should know fairly soon which if these players will be able to go Sunday or not. I expect the Jets to sign an emergency quarterback if Geno and Fitzpatrick are out Sunday.
