Brock Osweiler had a great second half and credits his success to Peyton Manning’s guidance.
Many might’ve thought that last night’s Broncos vs Patriots game was going to be an easy game for the Patriots. That wasn’t the case at all since the snow decided to make an appearance as well. Brock Osweiler played last night in place of Peyton Manning. The Broncos won the game in overtime and in an interview with ESPN, Osweiler labeled out the reason for his success.
“Peyton was fantastic at halftime. He came up to me and — you know Peyton — of course, he had a list of things ready to talk about that he saw out there. I’m not going to go into specifics, but he certainly did help me, and he helped this football team get a win today,” Osweiler said.
Make sure to not ask him about replacing Peyton because that’s not on his mind.
“I’m not sure about that,” Osweiler said. “The one thing I do know, though, this football team got a tremendous win tonight against a great opponent, in front of the best fans in the world, and I’m just going to enjoy this win tonight.”
If father time is indeed starting to catch up to Peyton Manning, we might be seeing a “Dear Football” poem coming soon. Peyton looks like the type to write a heartfelt poem, too. In case that does happen, it might look a little something like this:
120 yards of love
Brisk Fall air enters the field
As I’m looking to exit it
