One thing that can’t be measured in my eyes with all the NFL scouting is a players ability to lead their team. Coming into this season rookie quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota we’re always the mentioned hand-in-hand on who was the better quarterback and who would have a better career long-term. The outcome of these two guys will forever be questioned but one thing I feel Winston has that sets him ahead from Mariota is his ability to command the attention of those around him and be a leader.
Winston and his Bucs pulled out an ugly win over the Dallas Cowboys this week. As a rookie quarterback, often time veteran players don’t gravitate to you quickly believing you should earn their respect. The Bucs have a 4-5 record with Jameis Winston as their quarterback and he has definitely earned the respect of his teammates and it shows in his locker room post game speech.

After watching this video you can also tell how much coach Lovie Smith love his quarterback. You can see him in the background smiling from ear to ear as Jameis took over the locker room.
I think this kid will a solid career. I love his off the field intangible which set him apart from other young quarterbacks.
