Michigan’s head coach Jim Harbaugh is a one of a kind guy with a large following. Harbaugh isn’t one of those old out dated coaches who doesn’t know about social media, in fact, he has his own Twitter account which he recently used to make a plea to all Michigan fans.
I respectfully ask that fans conduct themselves in a 1st-class manner on social media when commenting on players, opponents & prospects.

Jim is asking his 322,000 followers to play nice, don’t be too offensive, be class acts and respectful. Yeah right Jim. You can’t believe this is actually going to work. If anything it may backfire on him. Twitter is the place where people say whatever they want to say while hiding behind their cell phones or computer screens. For the most part, there are no real consequences for their words. He can’t expect hundreds of thousands of teenager fans to take his tweet seriously which was admittedly shown by some of the replies he got.

See Jim, I told you your plan would backfire.
