NBA on TNT analyst Kenny “the Jet” Smith kept it all the way real with Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant.
Smith was stopped by TMZ Sports and asked whether Laker fans should be worried about Bryant’s recent play this season.
The former two-time NBA champion Smith says Kobe might be human after all.
Smith attributes Bryant’s play to not being able to escape father time, which after 20 seasons it seems apparent. But is Smith right saying the Black Mamba is dead?
Smith predicts the Lakers won’t make the NBA playoffs and come April he can seat next to him working the NBA on TNT. Kobe has been a shell of himself to start the season, but maybe these words from Smith will give him the motivation to be the Kobe Bryant of old, no pun intended.
On the season Bryant is 7/34 for downtown, and is shooting a career low 28.0 percent from the field averaging a mere 15.8 points. Now for other players this a career year, but not if your Kobe Bryant.
Bryant has yet to respond, but when he does it will be entertaining for sure.
