You could believe your eyes. The Knicks managed to keep the lead in the fourth quarter and thus, close it out.
Today’s game didn’t exert much excitement from the fans. Many fans were saying, “They’re going to lose and that’s okay.” Others said, “They’re going to lose it all in the fourth as usual.”
The Knicks were off to a great start against the Pelicans today but Anthony Davis continued to prove that he could very well be a one-man team. Even at the end of the first quarter, the Knicks got close with a score of 27-23, in favor of the Pelicans.
Then came halftime; the score was 44-42, still in favor of the Pelicans.
The start of the fourth quarter was a snooze fest at first because the fans felt the lead was starting to slip away. But then, the score turned to 74-68 and the fans began to cheer. The Pelicans weren’t backing down either; they put up a good fight and kept responding. The Knicks managed to close it out and perhaps, sleep the disbelief from the fans for one night with a score of 95-87.
The next opponent for the Knicks are the Hornets. What will we see from Derek Fisher’s players? There’s only one way to find out.
