Some would say that Mayweather would be within his rights to take a shot at Ronda Rousey. Considering Rousey has taken several digs at him while making excuses for her domestic violence past and the fact she is dating an accused married domestic abuser, most thought Mayweather would be delighted at her KO loss to Holly Holm.
While I am sure personally Mayweather has gotten some joy from it, publicly he took the high road when asked about it at a Lakers game.
“Oh, I don’t know,” Mayweather said when asked about Rousey’s loss in Australia. “I don’t speak on nobody’s situation.”
“Just in boxing period, contact sports period, you win some, you lose some,” Mayweather said Sunday at Staples Center, where he watched a Los Angeles Lakers-Detroit Pistons NBA game. “I don’t know about this fight, I just know that you win some and you lose some. It basically comes with the territory.”
He’s correct which is why his undefeated record no matter how you want to slice is impressive in this day and age.
Only takes one punch (or kick in MMA) and the aura of invincibility is gone and once it is gone, it is gone forever.
