The Eagles were high on Sam Bradford before he ever played a down with the team, yet according to Howard Eskins, Chip Kelly and company are likely relieved that Bradford turned down a monster long-term deal.
94WIP’s Howard Eskin joined The Josh Innes Show on Monday to discuss the Eagles’ feelings toward Colin Kaepernick and Bradford as a whole.
Eskins went on to report that Bradford and his reps turned down a 4-year deal, at $18 million a season.
“They were big fans of Bradford,” Eskin explained. “They’re not as big of fans of Bradford because obviously they will not sign him to the contract that he turned down which was about $18 million a year.”
Eskin also reported that it was Bradford’s agent, not Bradford, that ultimately influenced the turning down of the deal.
Bradford isn’t likely to receive anything close to that number if the reports are true.
