The Seahawks announced that Lockette will have neck surgery for a ligament injury he suffered after taking a big hit against the Cowboys.
Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette will undergo surgery this afternoon at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas to stabilize ligament damage in his neck that he sustained during a collision in Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.
Lockette has full motion and feeling in all extremities and the team has announced that his prognosis is good. An update on Lockette’s status will be provided following surgery later this afternoon.
Coach Pete Carroll was on 710 ESPN on Monday and said, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, that Lockette will miss the rest of this season, while answering “I don’t know that” when asked if it could be a career-ending injury.
