Last week Kevin Garnett was saying Curry was playing at Jordan’s level now the new Warriors consultant Steve Nash adds a touch to the praise he’s getting around the league. Steve Nash just like Curry wasn’t the biggest or the fastest but he had a bag of tricks that allowed him to dominate the game in his own way. Nash, who sees Curry more often at practice, thinks he is not only the more skilled in his era but simply the most skilled in the history of the NBA.
“He’s maybe as skilled a player as we’ve ever had in this game,” Nash said, per Kawakami. “But he has improvements to make as far as his feel and comfort, the cat-and-mouse thing, strategy and picking and choosing a spot, conserving energy and getting the same amount done. He can improve a lot, which is scary.”
Steph Curry makes the game looks so easy that people are trying to find out where he’s placed among the all-time greats and inevitably the comparison to Jordan will start to surface but Steve Nash is trying to put it to rest.
“I wouldn’t compare him to Michael Jordan—I wouldn’t compare anybody to Michael,” Nash said. “But I would say Steph is turning into a historical category of his own, in a way.”
The Warriors are 12-0 and the numbers, Steph Curry putting up, are ridiculous. Every game is an opportunity to add to the legend he’s creating.
