Urban Meyer wouldn’t have won any votes by suspending Ezekiel Elliott, and in the end, good communication trump overreaction.
Meyer responded to Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott ripping the team’s coaching staff after carrying the ball only 12 times in Ohio State’s 17-14 loss to the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday.
According to Bill Rabinowitz of the Columbus Dispatch, “Elliott apologized to him in a long meeting,” — while Meyer admitted the “play-calling was ‘not very good’ and he regrets not being more forceful in addressing that.
Meyer said OSU's play-calling was "not very good" and he regrets not being more forceful in ordering changes. Wouldn't elaborate.

He also said that Elliott would not be suspended for his remarks, according to Sports Illustrated’s Pete Thamel.
Urban on Zeke. Seemingly no suspension: "I know I’m going to get another 64 questions on it. It’s done."
