Wiz Khalifa is only 28-years-old, but you can’t treat him like one of these little dudes because he’s ten years deep in the game, which is something you can’t just brush to the side.
How often do we see artist become hot overnight and fizzle out in less than a few months?
Exactly.
Everyday there’s a new hot artist everyone rocks with and then you’ll never hear about them again. On the other hand, Wiz has proven to stand the test of time.
Back in the day, Wiz dropped classic mixtapes such as “Flight School”, “Kush & Orange Juice”, and even more recently, “Taylor Allerdice”.
However, the modern day Snoop Dogg hasn’t released a solo project since “28 Grams” in the spring of 2014.
Nonetheless, Wiz teamed up with his Taylor Gang compadre, Ty Dolla $ign on a EP entitled, “Talk About It In The Morning”.
The wait is finally over.
In a play-off from his ‘Cabin Fever’ series, the Pittsburgh stoner has blessed his fans with the third version. Features include Juicy J, K Camp, Curren$y, Chevy Woods, Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz and etc.
Without further ado, let’s dive into the tape.
“Respect” Feat. Juicy J & K Camp – This was a great way for Wiz to start off the mixtape. It provides you with the old Wiz feel due to the chill beat mixed in with an inspiring hook delivered from non other than K Camp:
When you stay out and your chopper stay focused
She gone be the best
Do what you can when your team get a chance
Put it all to the test
Came for it all, know you heard this before but
I don’t more less
Grindin’, you fall now you done with the tour
Get it all off your chest
Hustlin’, hustlin’, hustlin’, hustlin’
That’s all they respect
Hustlin’, hustlin’, hustlin’, hustlin’
That’s all they respect
Hustlin’, hustlin’, hustlin’, hustlin’
That’s all they respect
When you go hard
You go hard and don’t stop until ain’t nothin’ left
In the outro, Juicy J had a very straight forward message for a certain kind of person:
Yo n*gga keep it real with your motherf*ckin’ self and grind for your motherf*ckin’ self. If you lookin’ for another n*gga. If you lookin’ for another n*gga to put food on your motherf*ckin’ table n*gga you dumb as f*ck. You a stupid a** n*gga, you should go f*ckin’ take a gun and put it to your brains and blow your own God damn brains out
Juicy said a lot more, but I’ll just let you listen for yourself.
“Move On” Feat. Kevin Gates – A Kevin Gates sighting? Well, kinda.
Wiz single-handedly carried this song , mainly due to his catchy and relatable hook.
I’m rich, we’re both grown
Gotta mail me your boyfriend at home
Too high, I’m too gone
If she don’t ride with the kid, I move on
I’m just tryna find someone I can leave with
I’m just tryna find someone I can leave with
On the other hand, this song would’ve been better off with a second verse from Wiz instead of Gates wasting his.
“Prequel”. Feat Curren$y – The dynamic duo has done it again.
Whenever these two pair up, you should expect nothing less than greatness. First of all, let’s give credit to Sonny Digital for putting together such an amazing sound with a hard baseline that’ll definitely slap in the car.

“Foreign B*tches Freak Dips” – According to Genius, the following is ‘freak dipping’.
Freak Dipping is a further development of freak dancing. The girl unzips the boy to enable a dip, usually one brief shallow penetration in time to the music.
For me, the chorus is way too repetitive. Also, this seems like a song Wiz was trying to see what type of reaction he would get.
“Sh*t Starters” Feat. 2 Chainz – The concept of this song is very interesting to say the least. Basically, Wiz has encountered girls off “sh*t starters”, which appears to be some form of molly.
The chorus is catchy, but 2 Chainz turned things up with his verse. As usual, he had some lines that’ll make you laugh.
I’ll just present you three lines from his verse:
I might take a Xan, fly to Amsterdam
I am with the shits, need a Wet Wipe
My neighbor use antennas for a crackpipe (woah, truuuu)
Sounds pretty extreme.
“No Worries” Feat. Chevy Woods – In this hook, Wiz delivers an important life message everyone could keep in mind.
The end of the hook goes like this, “I’m just focused on what I’m gettin’, I ain’t worried about what I don’t got.”
This is arguably the best song on the tape.
“Finish Line” Feat. Project Pat – In this track, we’re invited into the life of a rock star.
With Wiz always on the road, women just naturally flock to him and apparently, they’ll do just about anything to get into first place.
She come to the show and break me off now she in first place
She skip past them bitches bullshit and she in first place
Her friend eat it while she suck this dick, now she in first place
Put it all in her face
Project Pat started off slow, but his verse picked up as it went on.
The b*tch went to Howard University
Credit good, she can take me on a shoppin’ spree
Baby daddy wanna hold her back, lock and key
In the back of the Ghost, gave me head, wasn’t scared
She understood in life you gotta cheat to get ahead
It was our first date, I couldn’t let her skate
She wanted first place, so I shot a nut in her face
“Call Again” Feat. Problem & Juicy J – This may be the first time in rap history when the actual song is shorter than just talking at the end.
The first two minutes and change presents a very soulful sound by Wiz and Problem.
However, the last three minutes is dedicated to inspirational speaker, Juicy J.
Juicy talked about drinking Gin all the way to how he’s bringing pimping back.

“Gangster 101” Feat. King Los – It’s clear to see that Wiz realizes he’s an icon in the game now. As before mentioned, he’s been in the game 10 years.
I’m just counting up this money, rolling up a plane
N*ggas in my lane, so I’m focused on some other things
When you a boss in the game you show hella patience
N*ggas going on your page, don’t know where the bank is
With that being said, King Los absolutely bodied this beat. I’m just going to let you listen for yourself.
“Left” Feat. Yo Gotti – This is one of those tracks you play when on the highway with your friends, while heading to the mall.
The concept is about how their isn’t too many ‘real n*ggas’ left, so Wiz and Gotti are just worried about getting to the money.
“Fucc Day” – To end the mixtape like this was pure genius. No features and Wiz is on his Bryson Tiller tip (not quite), but it was cool to see him try something new.
Wiz is at the point in his career where he doesn’t need these mixtapes for exposure, so he can risk trying new things and if it sticks with the people, great and if not, oh well, he’ll just try again.
In the second verse here, is Wiz implying that he’s having “Rich Sex”?
You could be the clothes off
I’mma take my shirt off
I’mma leave my chain on
Fuck you all night long
I’mma do it all night
You gone suck it real light
Shawty you a professional

Final take: For the most part, Wiz Khalifa doesn’t release bad projects. With this one only have 11 tracks, he had to come up some very good quality records and he did just that. I’ll give this a solid 8 out of 10.
