Gary Kubiak has been coaching offense in the NFL for a long time and with that experience comes strong opinions. With that being said, his latest opinion isn’t the most popular.
When talking about Steelers’ wide receiver Antonio Brown, Kubiak said that he’d give his MVP vote to the man that just carved up Denver’s secondary.
I know who I’d be voting for right now for MVP, Kubiak said. Watching that kid [Antonio Brown] play—I mean, he’s something else.
It’s understandable that Kubiak, coaching almost every Sunday, has missed the greatness that is Cam Newton. Cam, unlike Brown, has willed his team to victories this season. For as good as Brown is as a receiver, arguably the best in the NFL, he struggled when Big Ben wasn’t under center.
We’ll chalk this one up as Kubiak being a prisoner of the moment.
