Drew Brees time in New Orleans could be set to come to and end, and it has nothing to do with diminished skills.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Brees — who will have a cap hit of $30 million next season — will have to “take a hometown discount to return.”

Rapoport added, “Internally with the Saints, the organization is still salty that Drew Brees maximized his contract last time.
Brees, 36, has thrown for 4,135 yards and 28 touchdowns with 11 interceptions this season for the 5-9 Saints.
