With Christmas being only a day away and New Years Eve soon to follow, social media will be flooded with three things, food, family and men popping the question. Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright got a head start by proposing to his girlfriend on Wednesday. According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Wright wanted to and has been ready to ask her to marry him for several weeks but didn’t want to seem like he was copying his teammate DeShawn Shead who proposed to his girlfriend on the field after a Week 3 win over the Denver Broncos. Wright proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of the Boeing Everette factory after taking her family on a tour.

“Wright said his girlfriend’s father is a big fan of airplanes so he wanted to incorporate that into the day. He said an initial idea of flying a banner with the proposal didn’t work out. Instead, he arranged for his girlfriend’s family to accompany him on the tour of the Boeing facility.”
“I was like, ‘We should take your daddy there’ and then I proposed to her at the end,” Wright said. “I was like, ‘We are just going on a tour with your pops and that’s it.’ And then I did it at the end.”
Nice to know that Wright incorporated his girlfriend’s father into the proposal. Congratulations to K.J. and his fiancé, I wish them both the best going forward.
