The Warriors are coming from a championship run and are presently 26-1, Steph Curry is solidifying his MVP status from last season and has drawn praises from Kevin Garnett, Steve Nash or Isiah Thomas so what does the MVP himself thinks of his play this season? He answered the question during an interview with Time Magazine on if he was the best player right now.
In my mind, yes. That’s how I have confidence out there that I can play at a high level every night. I don’t get into debates, arguing with people about why I am versus somebody else. I feel like anybody who’s at the level I’m trying to be at, if you don’t think that when you’re on the floor, then you’re doing yourself a disservice.
I don’t think a lot of people will argue with Steph Curry based on the level he’s playing right now. I like the honesty, there is nothing wrong as a player to believe in your craft and show some confidence. I also think this is great for the NBA because the level of competition will also benefit from it. LeBron will hear from this quote and will be eager to show that he is still the best player like he said during the post-season last year. Luckily for us fans, we have a game on Christmas between those two and we will get to see who really is the GOAT.
