Kobe said he listened daily to Don't Stop Believin for 2 years after Boston won '08 Finals. Wanted to remember agony of hearing it in Garden

Kobe is known for his will to win, but my god I didn’t know it stretched this far. If you are a resident of planet earth you’ve already heard ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ too much and for Kobe to do the unthinkable and play it more shows truly how fearless he is. It makes me think how much LeBron must be bumpin ‘Coco‘.
In all seriousness, that loss to the Celtics in 2008 motivated Kobe to play at a whole different level the next year. His Mamba Face showed how serious he was all year and then the moment the clocked ran out in the 5th game against Orlando, Kobe let it all out.
The next year, he got his revenge against Boston. Without that win, the happy go lucky Kobe retirenment tour wouldn’t have happened.
Kobe said that if Lakers did not win title in 2010, he would not be in the cheerful mood that he is in now despite the losing

Cordial Kobe is a fun Kobe, but I’m glad it was only for this year. His retirenment tour continues in tomorrow in Memphis.
