I mean it is the Eastern Conference we’re talking about — but could the addition of a healthy Joel Embiid to what would then be one of the deepest front courts in the conference — really put the 76ers in the playoffs?
Charles Barkley seems to think so.
Barkley thinks @Sixers would be a borderline playoff team if Joel Embiid was playing. https://t.co/1UpdhYWjyw

Barkley made the comments as a guest on the Bill Simmons podcast.
“People are too hard on the Sixers,” Barkley said.
“I think the Sixers are going to get good quickly. First of all, if they had Joel Embiid, they would have an outside chance of making the playoffs.”
All will be right in the world, and here in Philadelphia if Embiid can take advantage of the 76ers new practice facility — and Ben Simmons makes all those years of tanking worth it in the end.
