Everybody loves the conference basketball season, and there is a lot of Big East basketball this week. With almost half of the conference ranked in the Top 25, there will be some interesting basketball to watch. There are three days this week in which Big East teams are on the court: Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.

On Tuesday, the night starts with the Providence Friars hosting the Butler Bulldogs, as both teams try to move up the Big East standings. Providence heads into the contest with a 15-3 record, but two of the three losses have come in conference play. Meanwhile, Butler is 13-4 overall with a 2-3 conference record, which is the reverse of the Friars’ conference record. Later that night, the Georgetown Hoyas take on the Xavier Musketeers for the first time this season. Xavier looks to keep its perfect record at home in Cincinnati on Tuesday. They have lost just one time this season, but Georgetown brings its 4-2 conference record into the contest. Also on Wednesday, the Villanova Wildcats bring their 16-2 overall record and 6-0 conference record into Seton Hall to face the Pirates. The Wildcats defeated the Pirates, 72-63, earlier this season, and you can get your Seton Hall Pirates tickets to see the rematch.

Saturday kicks off with Providence at Villanova at noon ET at the Wells Fargo Center, and Villanova Wildcats tickets are as low as $17 per ticket for this game. The Wildcats are hoping to move to 11-0 at home this season in the contest.
Also starting at noon is a non-conference matchup between Georgetown and the University of Connecticut. The only early afternoon contest involves Seton Hall taking on the tough task of trying to dethrone Xavier in Ohio.
In addition, there are two Big East evening games on Saturday. Butler travels to Creighton to take on the Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. ET. Then, Marquette faces the St. John’s Red Storm at Madison Square Garden a half-hour later. St. John’s started the season 7-3, but has lost its last nine games, including an 81-75 loss to the Golden Eagles.
