The top home run hitter in the Korean Baseball Organization had made it to the big leagues with the Minnesota Twins. Byung Ho Park, who hit an average of 42 home runs per season and has earned him a beautiful nickname. MLB.com had the quote:
“Few people from the Twins know about my Korean nickname: Park Bang. I don’t think that nickname is bad at all.”
Not bad at all has a wide range of meanings, but in this case, if you have to say it’s not bad at all, it’s probably bad after all. That doesn’t mean I think they shouldn’t use it, in fact, I believe this is the sole reason baseball will reemerge as the top dog in American sports.
The game can’t stay stagnant with the announcers yelling “PAAARK BAANG!!”
