The NBA has formally launched an investigation into the incident inside a Toronto restaurant — that led to Blake Griffin punching a Clippers equipment guy in the face — breaking his own hand.
Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com broke the news Tuesday — and we’ve now learned that he’ll miss 4-6 weeks in the process.

The Clippers released a statement on the incident:

Griffin has been out since their Christmas Day win over the Los Angeles Lakers with a quad injury.
