Josh Gordon is starting the process of being reinstated to the NFL. Gordon was banned back in February of last year for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy- his 3rd suspension in as many years. ESPN had more on what the process will look like:
“Terms of the suspension allow Gordon to apply for reinstatement as early as 60 days prior to the one-year anniversary of the date of the letter informing him of his banishment.
Gordon has done that, said the source, and now the process has been set in motion for the holder of three Browns franchise receiving records to rejoin the team for the 2016 season.”
Whether or not the Browns want him back is a different story. Hue Jackson doesn’t seem one to let issues like this continue, ala Johnny Manziel, but there is no question the difference in talent level between the two players. Which reminds me a lot of Ray Rice and Greg Hardy. Both did unthinkable things, one is in the league and one isn’t. One still has incredible talent on the field and the other has question marks.See the pattern here?
