Keyshawn Johnson has been a part of ESPN’s football coverage since 2007 and his segments on NFL Sunday Countdown have been received well despite being corny at times. In the end it seems as though that isn’t enough for ESPN to retain his services.
“SI.com has learned that Keyshawn Johnson will not be returning to ESPN following the conclusion of his contract, which ends at the end of this NFL season.”
Keyshawn can speak well and has a good mind for the game, so he’s bound to land another high-profile gig but it’s shocking to see ESPN let marquee talent walk away. Maybe the worldwide leader in sports is starting to feel the budget crunch that has plagued many of its competitors?
