We’re midway through the NBA season and for some odd reason, the two best teams in the basketball world haven’t played each other yet.
However, that will change come Monday when the Spurs take a visit to Oracle.
Even though the two powerhouses haven’t met yet, Golden State still uses San Antonio as motivation.
Klay Thompson explained:
“It pushes us,” Thompson told Yahoo. “It definitely makes us better, knowing that they’re behind us. They’re playing great. It’s going to be fun when we see them next week. There are some good teams behind the Cavs in the East, but not a monster like San Antonio. But that’s going to make us better, to be honest with you.”
As of right now, the Spurs are two games behind Golden State. If they want to obtain the top seed, winning Monday would be a great start.
