Can you believe you witnessed the worst loss in Lebron James 13 season career?
Last night two things were to possibly happen, Lebron James wins and the Warriors with their first back to back loss since the NBA Finals or Steph Curry does… Steph Curry things and well, the latter happened and it happened badly.
Yesterday was a must watch as the two champions go head to head once again. Before the game, there were a few words from Steph Curry mentioning the locker room still smelling like champagne from their finals win, and when Lebron caught wind, he said he had an answer for it. But Steph Curry was relentless last night and didn’t even give Lebron a chance to breathe.
Last night was the worst home loss and largest loss deficit for Lebron James in his entire career. While James led the Cavs with 16 points, it didn’t compare to Curry’s 35… in 28 minutes. The Warriors held no punches. But despite the worst loss in his career, James didn’t let it bother him nor is he giving it any weight.
“It’s not miserable. It’s just not the end of the world,” James said, according toUSA Today. “It’s still a basketball game. I don’t take it that far.”
“It’s never as bad and it’s never as good as it may seem when you’re going through it,” James said. “Obviously, you want to play well and especially on a stage like this versus the defending champions. But for me as a leader of this ball club over the last six or seven years, I’ve always been even-keeled about wins and losses, especially at this juncture of the season.”
Its not like this loss will define Lebron’s career or even make a difference in his leadership on the team… its just a bad loss. The Cavs play Brooklyn next on Wednesday at 7:30pm, should be a game for redemption.
