LeSean McCoy was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Bills last March — and he’s still a bit pissed off about it.
McCoy — who spent the better part of last year talking about how Kelly “got rid of all the good black players” — believes the former Eagles head coach and new 49ers leader — failed once he traded him to Buffalo.
Bills RB LeSean McCoy was asked tonight by NFL Network's "Total Access" where it "went wrong" with Chip Kelly in… https://t.co/kN96VpboQ6

“I guess he thought that it would be better if DeMarco (Murray) was there and that’s how the trade went,” McCoy said on NFL Network’s Total Access. “I can’t really answer that question, how he felt. But at the end of the day, we all know the results. He got rid of me and got him. He felt like that was the best for that offense. So that’s how that went, just to be honest.”
McCoy wasn’t done — saying that 49ers players would need to believe in Kelly’s system unequivocally for it to work.
“You just got to, I think, with him coming in there, no matter how good of a player or lower of a player you are, if you just automatically believe him – no matter if it sounds crazy and you’re like, ‘What is he talking about?’ – if you just automatically believe and buy in, I think you’ll be fine,” McCoy said.
Shady will be fine — with his new contract and chances to win another rushing title in the AFC.
