Sad day to be a St. Louis Rams fan. It’s been apparent the Rams owner Stan Kroenke doesn’t want his team in St. Louis anymore, but after The St. Louis Post-Dispatch attained the official relocation documents the Rams sent to league it seems he doesn’t think any NFL team should be there:
“Any NFL club that signs on to this proposal in St. Louis will be well on the road to financial ruin, and the league will be harmed….We believe an Inglewood Super Bowl could generate as much as $50 million more in league revenue than the Carson proposed stadium based on increases in seat capacity, premium seating and total number of suites.”
The Rams have been in the bottom three in attendance the last five years in a row and with no improvement in sight, Kroenke doesn’t have much of a choice on whether to relocate or not. Even if he had a choice, how can you not take the deal to go to Los Angeles? It’s been talked about for many years now and as a business owner, it makes too much financial sense.
I do feel for all you real Rams fans out there. After living in Seattle, I understand the void that will be left in your heart.
