It might just be the transition lenses, but Ron Rivera is so relatable. This video reinforces that feeling. It is reminiscent of your high school team making state and all the parents and students lining up to send you off. Seeing his neighborhood line up to send him off like that is just plain awesome. Now I’m homesick.
The thing about when you live in a city that has a team in the Super Bowl, especially in they haven’t been in awhile, is that it brings everyone together. The people you usually have nothing to say to at the deli, suddenly you’re talking Panthers football. Random passerby on the street? Wait you’re both wearing Panthers gear, you nod and pass.
If Riverboat Ron can finish the deal and bring home the Super Bowl, this comradery will reach uncharted levels and his neighborhood might become ground zero.
