Kobe on changing Hack-a rules: "That sets a horrible example for the kids. Can't protect guys that can't make free throws."

After hearing Jalen & Jacoby argue about this for about an hour the other night, I was waiting for more NBA players to weigh in on the league possibly changing the rules to prevent teams from using the ‘hack-a’ strategy.
Kobe’s response isn’t surprising- why change the rules because there are players who are bad enough at free throws that teams are willing to give up two uncontested shots to him instead of playing defense?
The same reason the NFL has made the rule changes to benefit the offense- this is for the fans and to make the game more aesthetically pleasing. It’s not like they are taking free throws completely out of basketball, it’s just changing a rule to prevent an arena full of people sitting and watching DeAndre Jordan shoot 20 free throws.
