The San Francisco 49ers are hosting the Super Bowl — but Oakland just got into the festivities — with the opening of Marshawn Lynch’s first Beast Mode brick and mortar store in downtown Oakland.
The opening was mobbed with fans and people who wanted to get close to the NFL star who won’t be needing the extra income.
“We’re here to see the opening of the store of one of the greatest football players in history,” Lynch fan Sabina Gross-Boyd said.
Delisa Lynch said, “He’s just like a big giant teddy bear… And it’s really just a positive thing for Oakland. This is what we need… all of our stores are closing, but to have Marshawn come back, open a store in the heart of Downtown Oakland it’s amazing.”
