The Brooklyn Nets officially waived Joe Johnson and he is free to sign with any team of his choice. According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard he may be taking his talents to South Beach.
Heat the frontrunner for Joe Johnson but as we've seen, you never lock it in until contracts are signed

If Johnson decides to join the Heat it will definitely be a great addition, but with the questionable health of Dwayne Wade and possibly losing Chris Bosh for the season chances of winning a title are slim to none. Joining the Cavaliers would almost guarantee Johnson a free ride to the NBA Finals, but Broussard also reports that Johnson wants to join a team where he can have a bigger role. Nothing is set in stone and we’ve seen in the past where players have a change of heart at the last minute.
