It’s that time of year again, everyone’s making calls to see what players other teams are offering up. For years now we have been watching the Philadelphia 76ers trying to figure out the team’s plan. They don’t seem to draft they players we think they need, they can’t get Joel Embiid on the court and once again they are in a race for last place in the league. The team is sold on head coach Brett Brown who they plan to build with and according to Mobile.philly.com, the team is willing to move one of their two young stars Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Ohafor.
Although the 76ers haven’t made a trade offer to anyone, the Atlanta Hawks have been contacted about point guard Jeff Teague. Once healthy, the 76ers do understand that they are going to have a jam at the big man position. Okafor is leading the team with 17 point per game and is in the Rookie of the Year conversation. Noel on the other hand is averaging 10.8 point per game and leads the team with 8.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.6 blocks leaving Joel Embiid is the huge question mark. The team isn’t expected to make a trade before the February 18 trade deadline. Until they can get Joel Embiid healthy, on the court consistently and see what he can bring to the table, Noel and Okafor are safe and aren’t going anywhere.
