With Steph Curry constantly putting up video game numbers in real life, the folks at ESPN asked Take-Two Interactive to do a simulation to see how real life Curry compared to video game Curry and Sun Times Network shared the results. Now you would think that real life Curry wouldn’t stand a chance against video game Curry, but not so fast.
Take-Two did a simulation in NBA2K of 50 full seasons and the results actually show the real life Curry is the way to go.
While the “NBA2K” version of Curry made an impressive 293 three-point shots, Curry is on pace to smash his own record for the most three-pointers in a season with 388.
If the season ended right now, Curry’s current 29.8 scoring average would also eclipse his previous career-high scoring mark by nearly six more points a game.
Finally, Curry is scoring at a historic rate with reduced minutes, where the former Davidson star is only averaging 33.7 minutes per game as Golden State continually rests the star during the fourth quarter of blowout games.
With that being said, the computer isn’t always better.
