Tony Parker has always had a taste of home in his current city of San Antonio, now everyone else will get a taste as well. Details via CBS Sports:
Inspired by Parker’s French heritage and Chef Cliff’s travels to France, Crème de la Crème will feature a rotating menu that will include savory and sweet crepes, croque monsieurs, plus classic French café and brasserie dishes like salade chèvre chaud (hot goat cheese salad), steak frites (steak and fries), escalope de veau (veal scallopini) and escalope de saumon (salmon scallopini).
That all sounds delicious and confusing all at the same time. More from CBS:
“Chef Cliff has been feeding my family and me fantastic food for nearly five years,” said Parker. “This food truck is an opportunity to share a part of my French heritage with the people of San Antonio through Chef Cliff’s culinary creations.”
“I’ve been blessed to have learned from some of the best chefs in France and I want to share some of what I experienced there with my hometown using fresh, local ingredients,” said Chef Cliff. “From my first street crepe in Old Lyon, to the croque monsieur at Les Deux Magots in Paris or my wife’s first French omelette with salade, I’ve been inspired by some unforgettable dishes. I’m passionate about creating memorable food experiences for others.”
To be honest, the only time I ventured outside of crepes with french food, I wasn’t off of the toilet for too long the next day- stay away from that croque madame. It wasn’t a food truck if that’s what you’re thinking. My main experiences with food trucks have been great. Portland is the mecca of the food truck, but Seattle is coming up. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had is El Camion in Ballard.
On a side note, can we change this truck’s name to ‘Ms. Parker’, so I have a reason to shout it out every once in awhile. Hey Ms. Parker…
